JARAMILLO | CÓRDOBA | DE VIVERO
Alberto is an associate at JCD and focuses his practice on dispute resolution, including commercial and investment arbitrations involving Latin American companies and states.
He has experience in the oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors. Before joining JCD, Alberto was an associate at Adell & Merizalde, a leading international arbitration firm in Latin America. There, he participated in arbitrations administered under the ICC, ICSID, and ICDR rules, as well as investment arbitrations. Previously, he worked as a law clerk at Dentons Cárdenas & Cárdenas, where he was part of the natural resources and energy team and gained experience in transactional matters.

Represented a telecommunications company in an ICC arbitration against a Latin American State concerning breach of a PPP agreement. Amount in dispute exceeded US$28 million.
ICC Arbitration Arising from Termination of a Fruit Distribution Agreement
Confidential client
Represented a Central American fruit producer in an ICC arbitration seated in Miami, Florida, against one of the world's largest fruit companies concerning the termination of a long-term distribution agreement. Amount in dispute exceeded US$50 million. The arbitration was conducted in English and Spanish.
Investment Dispute Arising from Termination of an Oil Concession

Represented a Central American State in an investment dispute arising from the early termination of an oil concession. Amount in dispute exceeded US$200 million.
